The United Nations complex is one of the more unusual landmarks in New York, because when you step onto the premises you are on neutral ground, and not necessarily on American soil, much like being in international waters. It is also one of the most notable landmarks in New York, and consists of the Secretariat Building, the General Assembly Building, the Conference Building, and the Hammarskjold Library. All buildings were designed and decorated by celebrated architects and artisans for the world representatives.
